I have searched the forums for anyone else experiencing this issue, but it seems to not be reported. Plus, what remains of the base is undamaged. A horde would get caught up in the barbed wire while being fried and shot by turrets. The area was surrounded by an electric fence with barbed wire directly underneath with turrets covering 360*. Besides, I had enough firepower on my walls to take care of any sort of horde threat. I believe there is a complete reset of the chunk (I think that's what it is called) as the area renders in when approached.
This is not a wandering horde issue as I would have seen them. Generally, a couple of walls of the base remain with the items attached (spotlights, turrets, and/or storage) but the majority of the base and all of my items no longer exist, or, in the case of the POI base, reset back to the origional house layout. The current game I lost most of my POI base so I moved down the road about 200 meters and built from scratch. In total, I have lost two bases that I built from scratch and one where I converted a POI. Sure enough, my base area reset itself to the way the area was prior to building. Just a few minutes ago as I approached my base in my vehicle and the area loaded up graphically, I noticed a message that my bedroll was gone.
Does anyone else have the issue with your base area resetting and/or partially disappearing? I have lost 3 bases in the last week due to this.
